Children and Youth Sunday School – Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.
When we meet: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the Plaza Level. 4th Sundays all youth and children are in church for 9am service.
First AME Church of Los Angeles has a group of dedicated teachers to teach our children from age 3 to 18 about the Lord.
For our Pre-K and Kindergarten class, the teachers are Ms. Janetta Butler and Ms. Judy Jackson.
In our 1st- 2nd grade class we have Ms. Jannette Waters.
In our 3rd- 5th grade class we have Ms. Yvonne Edwards.
In grades 6th-8th the teachers are Valerie Williams and Toni Robnett.
Rev. Lenora Ingram is our teacher for grades 9-12.
We use the program from Urban Ministries to teach our children about the Lord. The teachers make use of our arts and crafts to teach our younger children about God. We make use of technology for our older students to learn about Jesus.
We are always looking for more Sunday school teachers to teach our children. Soon we hope to open a nursery for little ones up to age three.

Adult Sunday School – All adults are welcome ages 18+
When we meet: Sundays, 7:50 a.m. to 8:50 a.m., 1st Ladies House
Teachers include: Cora Williams, Eddie Wheeler, Carmen Hayward-Stetson, and Jabari Williams. Substitutes include: Ms. Betty Burke, and Rev. Al Washington.
The mission of our Adult Sunday School is to teach, train, and nurture adults in God’s Word; preparing ourselves for Christian service by emphasizing Christian principles; and providing biblical resources, solace, and fellowship to address real-life challenges and concerns. We have an open forum format led by two of our four instructors each Sunday based upon approved AME literature and scripture. We pray for one another, and we have a rousing good time in the Lord!
